I love very frank Shikari's reply . It does not mean that against the topic idea. Shikari is Exactly right.
As a matter of fact, the academic researches are mostly shaped in virtual atmosphere and then gradually grow to get a formed but the atmosphere of professional guys here is in utmost practical.
I believe that both sides should work in a team to attain the effectiveness and efficiency.
I am an academic person and doing my PhD too. I research on CBCD (Content based copy detection) in compressed domain. I have a noble idea for copy detection of h.264 based videos but I even don’t know how to start my experiments. I have done my literature survey and studied the standard but I need to know the bit stream pattern, something that exists in my physical hard disc, and there is a big gap between that file and my virtual world. Lack of practical expertise in experimental part of research has made a big problem in most of the postgraduate engineering research.
