Post custom builds in this thread.  If you maintain custom builds, don't make a new post for each build; just update your old post.

JEEB's x264 builds for Windows

Both 32bit and 64bit flavor, 64bit is also available unpatched.

Sean_McG's builds for Solaris 10 x86 & amd64

unpatched 32/64-bit, built fprofiled with mp4 output support using gcc 4.5

AviUtl output plug-in that includes libx264 is also available.

Current revision: r1698

All packages available on both i386 and amd64.
r1523+ packages built on Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx".

Build infos: unpatched, GCC 4.4.3, fprofiled, with .mp4 output.

Packages up to r1510 built on Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala", GCC 4.4.1.

There are lots of GUIs out there for making x264 encodings from various sources (MeGUI, RipBot264, BD-Rebuilder, etc.), but afaict every one of them puts you somewhat at the mercy of the GUI's author wrt settings, i.e. the only way to have complete control is to run from the command line.

Maybe someone here knows a good GUI that allows full-control of the latest x264 settings?

MeGUI is pretty complete in terms of settings, iirc. Other than MeGUI, maybe x264vfw.
